The Product

As the sole technical partner in the two-person Tumbly Games studio, I built Tumbly Rocks for iOS and Android around an original puzzle design from my creative partner.

Beyond the Game Client

The product was designed for LiveOps. I created the supporting systems needed to change and expand the game without relying on a new store release for every content update:

  1. Remote delivery of new levels
  2. Configurable game elements and behaviours
  3. Difficulty and progression tuning
  4. Updatable tutorials and in-game guidance

I also built an in-game level design tool that runs on the target device, allowing the designer to create, test and refine content directly. Procedural generation tools could produce thousands of level variations from a controlled set of parts and rules.

The result demonstrates the broader engineering behind a sustainable game: client development, content pipelines, backend-driven configuration and tools that let a small team work effectively.
